COSMOS CONNECTION

All the matter, all the elements inside our earth are made of atoms which came from other galaxies or dying stars.

“The word ‘Cosmos’ meaning is — ‘The Universe viewed as a complex, orderly and harmonious system.’”

Hence, we can safely assume that gemstones have deep cosmic connection and we can channelize cosmic energy inside our body by making use of specific gemstone frequency.

OUR ORIGINS & MISSION

From NGO Empowerment to Mutual Reverence

In 2008, we established our NGO, FIRST Sansthan (Foundation for Integrated Research & Sustainable Development), with the aim of guiding, supporting, and empowering tribal communities living on the fringes of mainstream society.

Over time, we came to understand that the reality is quite the opposite: it is the tribal communities who have much to teach us about art, culture, craftsmanship, and our heritage.

A Millennia of Gemstone Craftsmanship

India has a remarkable and ancient tradition of gemstone and stone craftsmanship. The historic port of Cambay (now Khambhat) has been associated with the trade of gemstones and jewellery for thousands of years, including maritime trade with the Roman and Greek worlds. Similarly, the coastal regions of South India developed a rich tradition of exporting stone sculptures to countries across Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Laos.

What is particularly remarkable is that this traditional art is still very much alive. Thousands of skilled artisans continue to practice this craft, carrying generations of knowledge and artistic heritage forward.

Bridging Tradition with Modernity

While working closely with these artisans, however, we observed that they were often undervalued and inadequately rewarded for their craftsmanship. Limited access to modern tools and resources also made it difficult for them to achieve the fine detailing and finishing that their artistic abilities could produce. As a result, the final creations often failed to reflect the true potential of these highly skilled artists.

We therefore began this venture with a vision: to provide artisans with modern precision tools, better resources, and a larger international platform through which their art can be showcased and appreciated. We believe that with the right support, these craftsmen can create extraordinary works of art while preserving India's rich cultural heritage.

As part of this initiative, we have imported 32 varieties of gemstones from Latin America, Africa, and Asia, giving our artisans access to a diverse range of exceptional natural materials.

Our Process

Stone Artifact Production Process

In-House Production

Processes Inside Our Own Facilities

The process begins with the selection of rough stone, which is followed by the study of colour bands and flaws. Next, a clay model is crafted as a model of the desired artifact, after which the material undergoes a diamond saw cut. Rough shaping is then done by water jet, paving the way for detailed hand carving and subsequent sand blasting. Once this is completed, the artifact moves to polishing and then through cleaning and inspection. During documentation, each piece is photographed, and its stone type, weight, dimensions, and origin are recorded. Finally, for packing, the sculpture is wrapped in acid-free soft cloth, protected with foam, and set in an aluminium box inside a double-walled carton.

Processes We Outsource

(Depending on customer choice and requirement)

The process begins with the testing of gems to verify origin, purity, and weight, followed by the casting of stands using metallic, acrylic, wooden, or clear materials. Next comes the creation of reliquary cases using glass and brass, alongside custom cases crafted from embroidered silk brocade. An illuminated LED light base utilizing high-CRI bulbs is provided to bring out internal fractures and colours, which is followed by laser engraving and marking. The workflow continues with CMYK lithograph printing and embedding, where gold or silver is set into the gemstone. Finally, chrysography is performed, where fine lettering or decorative motifs are applied in gold ink or gold leaf to add inscriptions, sacred text, or ornamental borders to the stone surface, ultimately enhancing the artifact's richness and devotional or heritage value.
